Plan the Business!

When I started this event planning business, I knew it was for me! I knew helping people present a grand event or social function was my call to servanthood in a different realm. I had the patience needed to help others.

In the seven year that I have been planning events, I moved forward in what I knew and any changes that needed to be made. Yet, in all those years, I never wrote a business plan. WHY? I started this business with the want, the show, and the support. However, God has been showing me that I need to write the plan in order to be moved into the next level of success. He will not put people in my path that will help me if I don’t be obedient.

My fellow event planners, if you are in need of more in 2009, start with planning the business. Start by putting on paper the first vision God gave you. The vision that showed you successful in the gifts He gave you. Bring to life what you saw in your dreams and in your heart. God will not play and send you something of confusion.

Take the time to pray about the details. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what needs to be on paper and how it should be written. A business plan should not be intimidating, which means, don’t get scared! God didn’t give us a spirit of fear!

Plan the business according to the all clear instruction book; THE BIBLE! Do not forget where your help comes from. The money to finance the business, to buy the building, to get the website done and more, are blesssings from God, not chances of life!

Moving Forward

As an event planner, we have to move in the changing times. There is nothing more frazzling than the economy and you are trying to plan a retreat for women!

So Busy Promoting…..but not gaining

Well this economy is effecting everyone especially my clients. They don’t know they are my clients yet, but it’s been given to me that they are coming! Amen??

This year has been rough with finances and events, but I won’t give up. The purpose of promoting is to gain recognition that I am out there. The purpose of gaining is to be prosperous.

Now, my marketing dollars are down to zero, but I have not forgotten how to pound the pavement and get the word out. I might only pound the pavement once a week, but still, my efforts will not go unseen.

God is good that my gain is coming!
