Where Have You Been?

I have some nerve you say asking Where have you been, when it is me! Well as long as I got your attention. We have been on an extended hiatus. This hiatus has us in a place where we need to view our business in an effective manner. What I mean is, we have been getting spritually reconnected, in business, for almost a year to service our customers AND our staff effectively.

As coordinators, networkers, and event stylists, we want to provide the best service without looking like we’re spinning our wheels. In order to do this, we have to step back and let God speak. So be patient, we’ll be back!

Teach a Teen

The current economy is causing business owners to find ways to help others learn a skill. Well, at least it is for this business owner! I am struggling with my emotions with various families and friends being out of work. My mind says why don’t you open your own business my heart says not everyone is as entrepreneurial as I am.

So, now what?

My business mind says teach someone a skill. Yet, accompanied with my heart, my business mind says teach a teen. What does that mean? E.S.S.E.N.C.E Of A Woman will teach a teenager how to plan an event, decorate an event or be the sales person for an event. We are going to teach a teen how to be a personal/corporate assistant; basically training themt to learn a skill that will eventually help them start a business in event planning.

We are willing to teach a teen. These tranings will include basic training and an intership with E.S.S.E.N.C.E. The training will be 4-6 weeks and they will be given a certificate of completion. We will also start a scholarship program if they want to continue their education or receive more training for event planning, decoration, etc.

Sposnor Option

Are you willing to sponsor a teen?

Your sponsorship will pay for all the materials and teachers needed to make this a success.

We are looking for $200 per teen.
We will update each business/person that sponsors the progress of each teen.
Each sponsor will be invited to the closing ceremony
Classes will start Saturday July 9th-August 13th

Say Yes…Mom

The important part of a bride’s day is having her mother be there. Every little detail is important to a stress free wedding day. Most mother daughter relationships today are strained by the history of the past, but the hurt, the tears, the pain should all melt away on the day Mom’s hand over their daughters. Most women do not have their natural mothers in their lives, so, God-mothers, step-mothers; future mother-in-laws are the best fill in. It is important that the MOTHER recognize what her place is and where she wants to be in her child’s future. Most Moms just want to agree with their daughters in order not to fight with them.

It is easier to just stay away then it is to see their daughter happy on her one day. So Mom, do not make this a big deal on this one day. Say yes, Mom, to being the advisor, the consultant, the food critique; say yes to the ugly colors or prairie made bridesmaid dresses. The most important factor is your presence. She will appreciate you in the end and will be back for more advice in a year!

This event is great for young girls ages 12-20.

Christian Author Adrienne Adams writes to touch the hearts and minds of youth. Her speaking is encouraging for young women to know that they have answers, a way out, and can look UP!

Adrienne began to experience a yearning to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through her own testimony and her gift of writing.
As a teen parent, Adrienne struggled to take care of her children while still making education a top priority. Having experienced these struggles, Adrienne believed that it was especially important to be an encouragement to teens and young adults. With a vision in her mind and words on her heart, she set out to write her first book, “Breakthrough,” which was released in 2008.

Her novel, “Breakthrough,” tells the story of a Chicagoan teen who searches for faith and hope in a place where there seems to be none. Gratitude and Family Entertainment (GF ENT) recording artist, Rick, will give a live performance of his new hit single, Now I’ve Found Him. The song was inspired by the book.
